Shocking Video Reveals Instant Law Enforcement Suffer Blade Attacks in Surprise Attack

Both Senior Officers Moments Before the Aggressor Got Stunned

A police sergeant who rushed to the help of a partner that was assaulted by a knife attacker has been awarded the Royal Recognition for Bravery.

Sgt Tim Ansell struggled against twenty-seven-year-old Jacob Brown following he held a blade to the neck of his fellow officer Sgt Marc Foster.

Brown launched his attack as the law enforcement personnel and their partner, Police Constable Marcus Wolstencroft, were conversing to a motorist after a road collision in Whalley Range in mid-2023.

Brown knifed and cut the two Sgt Ansell and Sergeant Foster before Police Constable Wolstencroft incapacitated him with a Taser.

"Officer stabbed," the officer stated over his radio.

Officer-mounted and dashcam video made public by the force showed Brown, who was dressed in dark clothing with a hood up, rush to Sergeant Foster from behind with a knife pointed forward.

He collided with the officer who stumbled and dropped to the street, before Sergeant Ansell stepped in and struggled to restrain him to the ground despite being repeatedly struck with the weapon.

PC Wolstencroft Incapacitated the Assailant, Jacob Brown, with a Taser

Police Constable Wolstencroft drew his Taser and sought a open target, bringing the confrontation to an conclusion.

Sgt Ansell stated audibly: "I need something on my throat now, I'm bleeding in the neck."

Sergeant Ansell sustained two lacerations to his throat and more injuries to his limbs and body, whereas Sgt Foster suffered slash wounds.

Officials stated Sergeant Foster utilized his palms to stem his fellow officer's blood loss prior to medical personnel arrived.

This most recent award comes after the trio of policemen received internal Bravery Awards in fall 2023 and the police federation award from the regional Police Federation in early 2024.

They were also awarded a Area Valor Recognition in July 2024.

"The responses of each policeman in the end protected one another and meant no bystanders suffered any injuries."

Brown was given to an secure medical confinement in early 2024, per officials.
